My Canon A95 REALLY gone

Last week, my Canon Powershot A95 is really gone.

Thinking back, I bought this camera back in 2004 December. I was sort of feeling the limitation of what my 2Mpixel Olympus C200 Zoom can do.

This camera had captured many sweet memories.

Sometime in 2006, the famous E-18 error started to appear. And on Christmas Eve 2006, 2 days before I flew to Taiwan for holiday, the errors seen too much for me. It would be a disaster for me, without a camera in situation. That's why I bought my Canon DEOS 400D.

Since then, the E-18 error appeared more and more frequent. And we stopped using it.

Last week, I took it out to try the PC remote capture function and it works. I thought I could have some fun with this function. I plugged in a power adapter and ... *sign* Both the camera and adapter were spoiled.

I should had checked the adapter output voltage with a multimeter before plugging in. Nowadays, Canon seems to remove the PC remote capture function from the PnS cameras. Look like I have to source other ways for this function. Of course, I am also sad that my faithful A95 is permanently gone.

Macro Photography

Recently, there is a sudden lot of opportunities for me to shoot macro photos. And I find it fun and interesting to shoot insects in their natural environment. But I am lazy to find the names and label them accordingly.

Put some of the photos in the following site.
